Green House Solar is an independently owned and operated business based in Madison, NJ. We are currently recruiting an Experienced Service Technician to join our team!

The right candidate for this position, will be a hands-on individual who is interested in pursuing a career in renewable energy and has a passion for a ‘going green.’ We are seeking individuals with energy, ambition, those who are self-sufficient and believe that the products they are servicing can change the world! Job Type:

• Full-time Position
• $28.00 to $36.00 per Hour
• Service Technician

Job Responsibilities for Service Technician

Madison, NJ:

• Respond to maintenance, service, diagnostic, and warranty inquiries in a timely fashion
• Troubleshoot issues, identify potential options, recommend solutions
• Repair and replace solar/electrical equipment as well as various types of wiring and cabling
• Determine responsibility for charges
• Submit documentation required for billing and manage RMAs
• Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and NGEE standards
• Complete site surveys, providing all required information, pictures and documentation
• Ability to perform work as instructed and maintain a clean work environment at the end of each day
• Provide excellent customer service, resulting in high customer satisfaction

• Able to perform tasks with minimal to no supervision

• Ability to communicate to various departments and work well with others
• Ensure that each customer experience is as informative and enjoyable as possible

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the Solar Field doing electrical and service work, including batteries
• Familiarity with NEC and NABCEP standards
• Ability to operate electrical equipment and hand tools
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Reliable transportation and valid NJ Driver’s License
• Pass standard background check
• Must be willing to work in high places & on rooftops
• Be able to work late and on weekends, when needed

Education:

• High School or equivalent
• Minimum of 5+ years Solar Electrical and/or Service Tech Experience
