Responsibilities

  • Performs activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment
  • Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining cleanrooms and equipment
  • Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, and ordering and stocking of materials and equipment
  • Assists laboratory staff in routine tests used in diagnosis and treatment of disease
  • Ensures equipment is in good working order
  • Understand mechanics of equipment and reports malfunctions to supervisor
  • Understands safety hazards common to the la boratory
  • Logs l ab procedures completed
  • Processes related paperwork
  • Assists la boratory staff in routine tests used in diagnosis and treatment of disease
  • Performs microscopic examination of body cells to identify abnormalities
  • Operates a wide variety of la boratory instrumentation, prepares accurate reports such as Quality Control and Quality Assurance
  • Utilizes computer system for data storage and retrieval

Job Summary
