- Performs activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment
- Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining cleanrooms and equipment
- Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, and ordering and stocking of materials and equipment
- Assists laboratory staff in routine tests used in diagnosis and treatment of disease
- Ensures equipment is in good working order
- Understand mechanics of equipment and reports malfunctions to supervisor
- Understands safety hazards common to the la boratory
- Logs l ab procedures completed
- Processes related paperwork
- Assists la boratory staff in routine tests used in diagnosis and treatment of disease
- Performs microscopic examination of body cells to identify abnormalities
- Operates a wide variety of la boratory instrumentation, prepares accurate reports such as Quality Control and Quality Assurance
- Utilizes computer system for data storage and retrieval
- Maintains a clean, safe and well-stocked work area including records, supplies and equipment
- Accurately collects improvement performance data as directed
- Actively participates in the development and implementation of process improvements
- Follows company policies to ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA and other regulatory agencies
- Utilizes universal precautions in handling infectious material

Job Summary
