Klauder & Company Architects, a small architectural firm in Kenai, Alaska, is seeking a licensed architect to join our dynamic team as a Junior Architect. Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Architect, your responsibilities will span all aspects of architectural services, including:
- Design and Programming:
- Participate in programming sessions and create detailed programming documentation.
- Develop conceptual designs using CAD and 3D computer modeling.
- Research and Planning:
- Conduct thorough code and zoning research to ensure project compliance.
- Drafting and Modeling:
- Create, update, and maintain CAD drawings and Revit models during all project phases, including schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with clients, design team members, building officials, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Construction Administration:
- Provide support during construction administration to ensure projects meet design specifications.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A licensed architect designation.
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit (this is essential).
- A high degree of general computer literacy.
- A team-oriented personality with a congenial attitude and a willingness to take on varied tasks.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
