Responsibilities
As a Grocery Stocker, your role is essential to ensuring that our store remains well-stocked, clean, and customer-friendly. Your primary duties will include:
- Stocking and Organizing Shelves:
- Properly stock retail shelves with products in an orderly and visually appealing manner.
- Safely and accurately restock shelves using overstock inventory.
- Ensure perishable products are handled and stocked in a timely manner.
- Maintain shelf organization by ensuring products are front-facing and neatly arranged.
- Customer Interaction:
- Assist customers of diverse backgrounds with inquiries and provide accurate information about product locations.
- Deliver excellent customer service by creating a welcoming shopping environment.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other team members to ensure shelves are stocked and the store remains organized.
- Assist other grocery personnel, such as cashiers, when needed, including helping with the checkout process.
- Safety and Efficiency:
- Handle and move inventory safely, including lifting boxes over 50 pounds and climbing ladders.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Other Duties:
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Customer Service:
- 0-2 years of customer service experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse population.
- Attention to detail and the ability to learn the store layout to assist customers.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely lift boxes weighing over 50 pounds.
- Physically capable of repetitive hand movements and reaching shelves of varying heights.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and climbing ladders in confined spaces.
- Frequent movement from bent to standing positions to unpack and stock items.
- Age Requirement:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
