Job Opportunity: Family Advocate I & II
Location: Anchorage, AK

Position Details
- Family Advocate I:
- Hiring Range: $25.81 – $34.42/hour
- Pay Range: $25.81 – $38.72/hour
- Family Advocate II:
- Hiring Range: $29.55 – $44.33/hour
- Pay Range: $25.81 – $38.72/hour
Key Qualifications
For Family Advocate I:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Development, Psychology, Social Sciences, Social Work, or a related field.
- A combination of education and experience in a related field may also qualify.
- Driving Requirements:
- A valid Alaska driver’s license that meets State of Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) requirements, including:
- Driving in Alaska for up to 90 days with an out-of-state license, then obtaining an Alaska driver’s license.
- Alaska Commercial Driver License (CDL) required within 30 days if applicable.
- A clean driving record:
- No more than three (3) moving violations or two (2) at-fault traffic accidents in the past three (3) years.
- No DUI, DWI, or OUI violations in the past five (5) years.
- No more than two (2) DUI/DWI/OUI violations in the past ten (10) years.
- Age Requirements:
- Drivers must be at least 18 years old.
- Drivers transporting customers must be 21 years or older and meet probationary licensing requirements in Alaska.
- Provide a driving record issued within 60 days of hire.
- A valid Alaska driver’s license that meets State of Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) requirements, including:
Additional Qualifications for Family Advocate II:
- Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience working in a Child Advocacy Center, OR
- Demonstrated proficiency as a Family Advocate I at SCF.
Key Responsibilities
As a Family Advocate, you will work to ensure the safety, well-being, and empowerment of children and families. Responsibilities may include:
- Collaborating with Child Advocacy Centers.
- Providing direct support to families in crisis.
- Assisting with case management and service coordination.
- Advocating for the needs of children and families within various systems.
