Job Summary:

Big G is seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. The Apprentice Electrical Electrician will work under the supervision of an experienced journeyman, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of electrica l installation, maintenance, and repair. The role involves working on commercial and industrial projects and construction sites, where safety and adherence to the National Electr ical Code (NEC) are paramount.

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Learn to read blueprints and technical diagrams to understand electrical layouts.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
• Conduct tests on electrical systems using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Support experienced electricians in troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Help with low voltage and high voltage installations as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications for Electrical engineering:

• Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
• The ability to learn and follow directions from Supervisors.
• Must be able to pass a pre-Employment Drug Screen and background check.

Additional Information:

• Must have own hand tools and basic power tools
• Previous hours of electrical experience from other employers must be verified to receive credit

Office Location and Travel:

This position requires a regular 5×8 schedule with occasional overtime. Travel is a regular requirement of the job.
