Position Overview:
- Utilize knowledge of electronic theory, circuit design, and equipment operation to develop, test, and troubleshoot electronic systems.
- Manage and perform work using expertise in various electronic equipment and systems.
- Provide technical and programmatic advice to management and stakeholders on critical issues.
- Independently handle complex projects with multiple dependencies; mentor and lead others to achieve goals.
- Offer technical expertise and project oversight for contractor and government teams handling equipment installations.
Basic Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Must be suitable for federal employment and participate in direct deposit payroll.
- New hires must pass E-Verify employment verification.
- Selectees must meet selective service registration if applicable.
- Pre-appointment physical exam required.
- Must obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
- Position may require travel within CONUS and OCONUS, including remote sites, via military or commercial aircraft.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-09 level, involving technical and project management skills related to modernization and installation of new systems on Naval platforms.
- Education is not a requirement for this position.
- Volunteer experience may be credited if relevant.

Additional Information:
- Current Federal employees generally must have one year of service at the next lower grade.
- The position falls under the Science & Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) pay band system and Department of Defense Technician pay schedule NR-1/2/3/4/5.
- Telework options are available at management’s discretion.
