Your Role
As the Social Media and Content Manager, you will nurture industry networks, enhance brand awareness, and help craft an enviable corporate image. This role focuses on executing innovative PR strategies, creating engaging social content, and managing ad and web content to drive brand recognition.
You’ll work to engage pet parents, collaborate with agency partners to define strategic visions, and foster consumer engagement and retention. The ideal candidate is an expert in social media marketing, PR, and performance marketing with the ability to analyze data, optimize campaigns, and convert digital audiences.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan across social media, PR, DTC, retail.com, and digital channels to boost brand and category awareness in North America.
- Content Management: Lead the direction, approval, and execution of monthly/quarterly social content calendars.
- Budget Oversight: Manage social media and influencer budgets, including activations, invoicing, and performance reporting.
- Influencer Campaigns: Oversee influencer partnerships, giveaways, and campaigns to grow engagement and awareness.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze social media/PR metrics, leveraging insights for future strategy.
- Trend Awareness: Stay updated on industry and platform trends (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) to maintain relevance and growth.
- Media Coordination: Handle media inquiries, press releases, and internal content communications. Ensure press placements are amplified across platforms.
- Ad Optimization: Manage ad creation, testing, and optimization for platforms like Meta, TikTok, and retail.com.
- Collaboration: Work with agencies to curate influencer content and integrate it into owned properties.
- GTM Support: Assist in the creation and execution of Go-To-Market (GTM) plans and associated reporting.
- Messaging Consistency: Align social and brand content calendars for seamless messaging.
- Decision-Making: Make informed, timely decisions while adhering to company values in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media and public relations management.
- Strong knowledge of performance marketing with the ability to optimize ad creatives based on insights.
- Proven success in influencer marketing to drive growth.
- Demonstrated ability to increase engagement and grow social media followings.
- Experience leveraging PR to generate buzz and brand awareness.
- Event planning and trade show experience (preferred).
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com).
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- A collaborative team player who remains composed under pressure.
Compensation and Benefits
- Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: $80,000–$87,000 per year
