Job Description

Job Title: ROV Electrical Technician
Location: Aberdeen
Position Type: Full-Time Contract

Our client is currently recruiting for an ROV Electrical Technician based in Aberdeen. This is a full-time contract position offering an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of ROV and electrical systems in a dynamic workshop environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical maintenance on ROV and associated equipment systems (ROV, TMS, Winch, HPU, A-Frame, etc.) in accordance with company procedures and under the direction of the Workshop Manager.
  • Carry out maintenance, repair, and upgrades of electrical systems within the workshop.
  • Re-wire electrical panels and junction boxes as required.
  • Test electrical equipment prior to shipment, including slip rings, motors, cameras, lights, and other components.
  • Assist the Workshop Manager with all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring they are in line with manufacturer recommendations and guidelines.
  • Conduct refurbishment, maintenance, and repairs on all relevant equipment, following manufacturer specifications.
  • Support inventory checks on ROV systems, which may involve updating the ROV reporting system on the computer.
  • Stay familiar with and maintain awareness of the company’s requirements, protocols, policies, and the latest industry codes and standards, including statutory rules and regulations.
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with the company’s health, safety, quality, and environmental policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.

ROV Electrical Technician Requirements:

Essential:

  • Industry training in engineering and electrical disciplines.
  • Time-served experience in a similar role.

Desirable:

  • Previous electrical experience in an ROV and workshop environment.
