Summary:

This position is located at Havasupai Elementary School, part of the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE). As a Transitional Teacher in Elementary/Fine Arts, you will teach general education and fine arts subjects in a lower elementary classroom, helping students build foundational academic and creative skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop yearly instructional plans and daily lessons for group and individual instruction.
  • Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction across elementary and fine arts subjects.
  • Evaluate student progress using diverse assessment methods.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student growth and well-being.
  • Manage classroom discipline and ensure student safety throughout the academic day.
  • Supervise students during class and school activities in accordance with school policy.

Qualifications:

Education Requirement (minimum for Pay Level 11):

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Enrollment in an approved State Alternative Licensure Program within 90 days of hire.

Advanced Pay Levels:

  • Level 12: Bachelor’s + 15 graduate semester hours
  • Level 13: Bachelor’s + 30 graduate semester hours
  • Level 14: Master’s degree + Alternative Licensure Program enrollment

Note: This position is also posted as a Traditional Teacher, requiring a valid state teaching license. If already licensed, consider applying under that posting.


Conditions of Employment:
