Summary
The Orlando VA Healthcare System’s Surgery Service is seeking a skilled and motivated General Operative Urologist to join our team. Position Highlights:
- Open to U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. (non-citizens may be considered if qualified citizens cannot be recruited)
- Eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) with potential student loan reimbursement up to $200,000

Primary Duties:
- Provide expert evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with complex genitourinary conditions
- Perform a full range of adult urological surgeries including lesion treatment, biopsies, laser procedures, stent insertion, and surgeries involving the prostate, bladder, and penile structures
- Conduct preoperative assessments and deliver urology-related patient care across multiple settings including operating rooms, ICUs, wards, and outpatient clinics
- Participate in program development and help establish standards to ensure high-quality urological care
- Provide on-call coverage as needed
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (alternate schedules, including four 10-hour days, may be available based on facility needs)
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
- Completed residency training in Urology approved by the VA or equivalent certification
- Board certification in General Operative Urology preferred
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
