Developer Purpose of the Role:

As a Developer within our Online IT team, you will be joining a group of experienced professionals, working on a range of exciting projects for diverse stakeholders. Your primary focus will be supporting various aspects of our online business, particularly our recently launched headless storefront powered by React and Salesforce PWAKit.

What You Will Do:

In this varied role, you will be involved in a wide array of tasks:

• Develop new features and build customer-facing components.
• Support A/B testing, campaign initiatives, and platform improvements for Iceland’s ecommerce site (Iceland.co.uk).
• Create development tools and contribute to the development of mobile app functionalities.

While your main focus will be on supporting our Ecommerce site, there will be opportunities to work on additional projects, providing exposure to Salesforce Force.com, Service Cloud, and Cloud Operations.

What You Will Work On:

Your role will involve:

• Supporting day-to-day Ecommerce trade by implementing enhancements and new features.
• Setting up A/B test campaigns and deploying successful changes to the core codebase.
• Developing microservices and campaign toolkits.
• Contributing to the development of non-transactional sites within Iceland’s portfolio.
• Providing bug fixes and feature updates for our Commerce Cloud sites and apps.
• Participating in planning, solution design, retrospectives, and code reviews.

Specialized Skills & Knowledge:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, SCSS, and HTML.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks like Node.js and React.js.
• An understanding of eCommerce systems and workflows.
• Any experience with Commerce Platforms or CMS tools is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure) is desirable.

This Role is Based in Deeside, Near Chester (2 days in-office)
