Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management & Compliance

  • Execute inventory best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for store-wide operations, including front end and pharmacy.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory processes: receiving, counting, ordering, returns, and disposal of expired/damaged goods (including prescription drugs).
  • Validate planogram accuracy and ensure On-Shelf Availability (OSA) for all departments.

  • Oversee pricing activities (price changes, markdowns) and ensure compliance with state/local regulations (e.g., alcohol, tobacco).

Asset Protection & Loss Prevention

  • File claims for warehouse/vendor discrepancies (overages, shortages, damaged goods).
  • Implement asset protection strategies and maintain consigned inventory records.
  • Monitor pull & quarantine processes for recalled or expired items.

Store Operations & Leadership

  • Act as Leader on Duty (LOD) in designated stores: open/close store, manage cash handling, and resolve customer issues.
  • Train and coach team members on inventory systems, POS operations, and customer service best practices.
  • Support warehouse deliveries, DSD processes, and eCommerce package handling (scanning, returns).

Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize inventory systems (e.g., POS, OSA tools) to reconcile orders, track expenses, and generate reports.
  • Audit and correct inventory discrepancies in partnership with pharmacy leadership.
  • Prepare for annual physical inventory audits and oversee third-party vendor compliance.

Customer Experience

  • Model exceptional service by greeting customers, resolving issues, and proactively addressing needs.
  • Maintain clean, well-merchandised shelves and ensure a safe shopping environment.
