Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Telework may be authorized based on the position.
- Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be paid in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and Air Force policies. If PCS is authorized, a CONUS agreement may be required.
- Security clearance requirements vary by position.
- Duty locations are predetermined and non-negotiable. Current duty locations can be found on the AFCS website.
- Random drug testing may be required for some positions.
- Supervisory responsibilities and promotion potential depend on the specific role.
- Employees in direct childcare positions may qualify for childcare fee discounts as per DAF AFSVC/CC policy (first child: 100% discount; each additional child: 25% discount). Other Child & Youth Program (CYP) and Family Child Care (FCC) staff may be eligible for a 25% discount.
