Field Assistant

Summary
In addition to our established in-home/community-based ABA program, we are excited to announce the launch of our clinic-based ABA care. Our first ABA clinic has been established at our Sterling location, and we are seeking experienced and passionate RBT colleagues to join us on this exciting new journey!

As a Field Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing information on client-specific behaviors and learning to behavior technicians (BTs), registered behavior technicians (RBTs), and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). You will ensure the effective implementation of ABA interventions and the provision of high-quality services for our clients.

The main responsibility of the Field Assistant is to deliver Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services to clients, both remotely and in-person, in accordance with the billable/non-billable agreement. You will also complete non-billable tasks, such as driving between patient homes, paperwork/documentation, administrative meetings, and training behavior technicians, as needed.

Job Specification

Therapeutic Care and Management (estimated 30 weekly hours)

Assist with screenings, assessments, progress evaluations, and referral information using established evaluation procedures, assessments, classroom observations, and interviews.


Support intakes and assessments, making appropriate treatment recommendations based on results.
Directly support a caseload of BTs and RBTs, billing 300 hours weekly.


Help prepare individualized treatment and behavior support plans for clients.
Communicate client and caregiver/family preferences to the team.


Assist in developing training for family members and staff, integrating new skills and techniques into daily routines and activities in both classroom and home settings.


Collaborate with parents/caregivers, BTs/RBTs, and BCBAs to ensure optimal care for children and their families.
Provide support tailored to the needs of both clients and staff.


Conduct ongoing data review and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of program services.
Support and guide behavior therapists in implementing treatment plans with fidelity.


Maintain a caseload with a minimum of 12 billable direct hours per week.
Perform other duties as assigned.


Professional Development and Training (estimated 5 weekly hours)

Assist in orienting, training, supervising, and assessing BT and RBT staff.
Ensure the team of BTs and RBTs have the necessary professional development, training, and resources to deliver high-quality services.
Provide training and supervision for staff pursuing RBT certification and support the maintenance of their certification as needed.


Coordinate an ongoing schedule of support services for BT and RBT staff, offering service coverage as needed.
Support BT and RBT staff with case reviews and monitor productivity.
Serve as a liaison for topics such as communications, branding, billing, and training.


Policy and Internal Regulatory Compliance (estimated 2 weekly hours)

Maintain accurate, timely client progress reports and documentation, complying with agency and government regulations.
Follow privacy laws, including HIPAA, and Medicaid/Medicare regulations.
Ensure compliance with security and confidentiality regulations related to the supervision of staff and clients.


Understand and follow insurance and Medicaid regulations for billing, using the appropriate codes.
Adhere to safety procedures as required by organizational policies and procedures.


Meet legislative and educational requirements outlined in the offer letter.
Perform other duties as needed.
Meetings and Communication (estimated 3 weekly hours)

Attend Site Staff Meetings.
Participate in:
Bi-weekly Client Meetings
Clinical Supervision Meetings
Training or Update Meetings
Work effectively as part of a team while being a self-starter.
Prioritize the best interests of clients and BT/RBT staff in team communications.
Attend remote meetings as needed and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Education and Experience

Must be a Registered Behavior Technician with an active RBT license and NPI number.
At least one year of experience in ABA or a related field.

Additional Qualities

Solid knowledge of ABA principles, assessment tools, and evidence-based interventions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, families, and other professionals.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


Familiarity with relevant ABA regulations and ethical guidelines.
Commitment to professional development and staying current with advancements in the field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR.

Location: Loudoun County
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, meeting client-specific scheduling needs
