Export Co-ordinator – Buying Department (Deeside Head Office)

Overall Purpose of the Role Export Co-ordinator:
The Export Co-ordinator will be responsible for facilitating the coordination and administration of the certification requirements related to the export of products requiring Export Health Certificates. This includes the export of goods from the UK to the Republic of Ireland (ROI), EU, and third countries.
In this role, you will play an active part in ensuring Export Certification processes are delivered smoothly, with a focus on liaising with suppliers to gather the necessary documentation for completion. You will also be responsible for keeping the Export Compliance Manager and the Supply Chain teams informed about certification statuses, schedules, and ensuring that the right information is available at the right time.
Key Accountabilities:
- Coordination of Certification Processes:
Efficiently gather and process the required export certification information from both internal stakeholders and external suppliers and manufacturers. - Supplier Liaison and Documentation Management:
Communicate and follow up effectively with suppliers to ensure timely and complete delivery of required documentation, such as attestations, slaughter approval numbers, import certificates, and processing confirmations. - Status Updates and Stakeholder Management:
Provide regular updates to the Export Compliance Manager about the status of certification processes, ensuring effective coordination and management of all necessary processes and stakeholders involved. - Assistance with Official Liaison:
Support the Export Compliance Manager in liaising with the Official Vet or Department Officials to ensure the certification process stays on schedule.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience:
- Experience: Previous experience in export coordination or a similar administrative role is advantageous but not essential. Training will be provided.
- Efficiency and Accuracy:
Ability to manage a high volume of work accurately and quickly, meeting deadlines and ensuring all documentation is correct. - Initiative and Collaboration:
Strong initiative with a proactive and collaborative approach to work, building relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. - Multitasking and Prioritization:
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Agility and Flexibility:
Open-minded and agile, able to adapt to changing demands and circumstances. - Pressure Handling:
Ability to work under pressure, delivering quality results on time and managing tight deadlines effectively. - Technology Proficiency:
Comfortable using IT equipment and online portals for documentation and certification purposes.
