Our Corporate Compliance Department is seeking a Compliance Associate/Compliance Officer for the team responsible for AML, Prevention Facilitation of Tax Evasion, and Third-Party Payments, based in our Maidenhead, United Kingdom office. You will work in a diverse, fast-paced international environment, contributing to the compliance programme. You will frequently interact with the business, counterparties, and other departments locally and globally. This position offers remote working opportunities for an agreed number of days per week.

Compliance Associate Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide advice on topics or questions related to anti-money laundering (AML) or prevention of facilitation of tax evasion from other Compliance teams or functions, groupwide.
  • Act as the point of contact for AML or tax evasion risks for other Compliance teams performing due diligence (e.g., KYC) on new or existing counterparties.
  • Review and approve payment arrangements involving third parties (non-contractual parties).
  • Provide advice on topics or questions related to third-party payments from other Compliance teams or functions, groupwide.
  • Support various compliance projects and enquiries, including:
    • Updating, enhancing, and creating Policies, Standards, Procedures, and Guidelines (PSPG), accompanying manuals, and training and awareness materials.
    • Reporting and audit requests.
    • Tracking and documentation efforts.
  • Handle day-to-day compliance system controls (e.g., alerts) to mitigate AML and tax evasion risks.
  • Monitor relevant regulatory changes regularly.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Academic degree (or equivalent).
  • Legal, auditing/risk, or similar background.
  • 3–5 years of relevant working experience (e.g., KYC, AML, sanctions, or equivalent).
  • Experience in an international company is beneficial.
  • Interest in compliance topics and commodity trading.
  • Fluent in English (corporate language); additional languages are a benefit but not essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in IT applications (e.g., MS Office).
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
