Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Commodity Specialist I to join our team in Holland, MI. This position will ideally be located in Holland, but is open for the right applicant to work in one of our other Michigan sites.

As a Supply Chain Commodity Specialist I, you will:

Work closely with end-users and suppliers to execute supply chain strategy. You will analyze supplier performance, identify supplier quality, delivery and service issues. Initiate and monitor corrective actions and coordinate supplier development. Manages supplier base and supply chain to assure lead time, quality, and on-time complete delivery. You will also participate in projects to identify and eliminate waste from supply chain. In this role, there is significant work in administration and basic support of the current indirect purchasing systems, as well as internal customer /vendor support.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Management and either an internship or 1-2 years of work experience.

OR

  • If no degree, 2-3 years of business experience performing tasks in areas such as, customer service, inventory/materials management, supplier management, logistics, or accounting.

AND,

  • Ability to lifts parts, materials, and/or products weighing up to 50 pounds to perform supplier profile analysis.
  • Ability to transport self for interplant and supplier visits.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in Holland, Ludington, or Big Rapids, MI without relocation assistance.

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Effective written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong relationship management, interpersonal, and team-building skills required.
  • Skilled utilizing spreadsheet software applications.
  • Ability to travel overnight away from corporate offices, up to 10 percent of time.
