The Supply Chain (SC) Quality Manager is responsible for quality management, and continuous improvement activities at 3rd party warehouses, tollers, wash stations, and transport (incoming and outgoing).

The role requires effective communication at all levels both with internal and external teams, tracking and reporting of performance to goal, developing systems and teams to manage quality, delivery, cost savings, and on-the-spot critical decision making. This is a cross-functional role that will work with Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Plant Quality groups on priorities across Tate & Lyle business sectors. The successful candidate will be expected to drive successful, on time project delivery, operate as a self-starter, and take ownership of all areas impacting quality.

Responsible for the provision of support across Quality activities and compliance within the NOAM region, to ensure the safe operation of our facilities and equipment, the quality of the work we perform, and the safe completion of all tasks without harm to health, safety, the environment or our customers

Provide support to enable and empower our employees and contractors on EHSQS matters to ensure everyone is engaged in shaping our EHSQS programs

Actively support and promote the Journey to EHSQS Excellence, through demonstratable best practice sharing, support and domain expertise

Serve as a Quality subject matter expert for Supply Chain providing guidance / advice to key stakeholders.

Introduce and implement the quality processes and tools required to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. Ensure that a Quality Management System is implemented and maintained in the entity under scope.

Drive requirements and solutions with all internal stakeholders such as Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams.

Support SC and Logistics teams with problem solving, tracking of open issues, and timely disposition of all defective materials.

Skills and Experience Required

BS/BA degree in a science related or technical field

3 years of working knowledge of Quality Assurance in a food manufacturing environment or in a professional environment where compliance is of vital importance

Formal preventive controls (PCQI/HACCP), Quality System training is strongly preferred.

Familiarity and experience with GFSI Food Safety certification management preferred.

Demonstrated customer focus and willingness to work as a team player in a change-oriented department.

Lean Six-Sigma project experience or certification preferred.

Commercial knowledge/business acumen; experience working closely with Commercial teams

Allergen control management expertise, food safety, environmental monitoring and food defence programs

Strong knowledge of SAP Quality Management system preferred

Strong oral and written communication skills

Excellent report creator

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Ability to influence others and lead small teams

Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact

Effective problem identification and solution skills

Proven analytical and organizational ability

Ability to travel within assigned region
