Job title: Sr. Environmental Engineer / Civil Engineer
- Full-time permanent position * Location is flexible, can be anywhere in Washington or Oregon state * This role will be mostly remote but may also include some regional travel and fieldwork * Competitive salary commensurate with experience You became an Environmental or Civil Engineer because you care about the environment and enjoy tackling the tough, important challenges. You’re looking for a firm with a purpose that engages you, exciting work, and a culture that energizes you. We’re Ian Martin Group (https://ianmartin.com/) , and we’ve partnered with our client, an employee-owned environmental consulting firm offering strategy, science, and engineering solutions in the private and public sectors. Founded over 20 years ago, they have consistently been recognized as one of the premier firms in the Northwest and a top place to work. Their employees love working there, because they don’t do cookie-cutter work, they work collaboratively on a variety of diverse, complex and fascinating projects. Now they are looking to add a new Sr. Environmental Engineer or Civil Engineer to their collaborative team, someone who will work on high-profile aquatic sediment remediation and habitat restoration projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. They are looking for someone who exemplifies their commitment to technical excellence, environmental responsibility, and amazing customer service. That’s where you come in: As the new Sr. Environmental Engineer or Civil Engineer, you’ll be responsible for managing and overseeing project tasks to completion. These tasks will often be a key element of a larger remediation project. You’ll be involved in site evaluations, feasibility studies, regulatory negotiations, design drawings and specifications, implementation oversight, proposal preparation, and prospective client interviews. You’ll also participate in research and analysis on emerging issues, aid in the development of tools and practices for the firm, and mentor more junior engineers. Working collaboratively with one of their Project Managers, you’ll be assigned a task and will bring together the necessary resources and team to get it done. You’ll coordinate with internal staff and contractors to pull together their contributions and will communicate directly with clients and agency representatives to ensure success throughout the project. Beyond your environmental knowledge and expertise, you’re the right fit for the role if you are highly organized, an excellent communicator, and a leader who relishes the opportunity to bring out the best in others. If this sounds like you and you’re eager to take on an exciting and diverse range of projects with a collaborative team, we can’t wait to hear from you. Working with our client: This is a full-time, permanent position from Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. There will be some overtime based on project needs but you’ll get that back in time off. This role can be remote, and you will have the flexibility to work from a home office, with some regional travel, and some fieldwork as needed to oversee projects. The travel you’ll do is mainly day trips with all expenses covered, and rare overnight trips. They offer a competitive annual salary commensurate with experience, plus bonus structure, equity and ownership options, 401K, full benefits package, and life insurance. They care about the well-being of their employees and have on-site fitness classes and massages. Your professional growth is a priority, so you’ll also have support to further your development and career growth and participate in conferences. They are a socially responsible business that considers all stakeholders – environment, planet, community, and supply chain. They are serious about doing business better. Those values led our client to become a B Corporation (https://t.sidekickopen70.com/s3t/c/5/f18dQhb0S7lM8dnqK6W2LL_8b2B9nMJN7t5XWPfhMynW4Y95Bj63BfNdW56dK1X5Dktqj102?te=W3R5hFj4cm2zwW4mKLS-3C6Y5RW45SB5V4fJg0Tf1JD4gMV3&si=8000000001760504&pi=8f8ea47d-cf17-4c78-9054-a4e07a69c769) .
