We seek an outstanding tax professional with experience that may include mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructuring, business expansion, corporate financing, partnership tax, and/or tax controversy. Candidates must have demonstrated ability to identify tax solutions and opportunities in a complex multinational business and tax environment. Candidates must also possess strong communication skills and the ability to partner successfully with key corporate groups including Legal, Treasury, and Accounting.

What you’ll be able to do:

  • Identify, develop, communicate, and implement creative tax savings opportunities
  • Plan for and represent the company’s interests in corporate transactions
  • Support significant business initiatives
  • Analyze disputed tax issues to identify refund claim possibilities, optimize future tax positions, and avoid pitfalls
  • Develop, and document the bases for, tax return positions
  • Monitor potential tax legislative changes and respond quickly to advocate for the company’s interests
  • Ensure effective and accurate responses to tax authority inquiries and establish the company’s position for related tax risks and opportunities
  • Advocate the company’s interests at the tax examination, administrative appeal, and litigation levels
  • Assist with respect to tax compliance and financial reporting of corporate transactions and initiatives

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • JD, LLM in taxation, or MST from an accredited college/university
  • Admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction in the United States or CPA
  • 7+ years of multinational tax planning experience with a large U.S. based corporation, or nationally recognized law or accounting firm

  • Demonstrated expertise:
  • researching and interpreting tax law
  • advising on tax matters
  • interacting with tax authorities
  • prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple clients or constituencies in a fast-paced environment
  • identifying and resolving tax issues independently and effectively to achieve company objectives
  • Excellent writing and communication skills; ability to explain complex tax concepts to those with limited tax experience
