About This Job

As a Senior Manager, Business Office-Bank Operations the main purpose of this job is to lead multiple teams that make up the Bank Operations (Ops) Business Office which is responsible for all division-wide support for the Bank Ops division. Data analysts comprise the Bank Ops Support team and exists to provide various financial, budget, project, unit cost, PAS, internal control and operational analysis reporting to the Bank Ops division. Other teams include the Strategic Planning team which is responsible for the strategic planning responsibilities and coordinating successful employee events as well as the Resource Specialists team who provide production and analytical support to departments across the division when other employees are out of the office.

Essential Functions

Lead, mentor and motivate five (5) direct reports and total team of 20 team members to implement the department strategy and manage department workflow with guidance on departmental projects/issues, and provide coaching and development opportunities appropriate to each direct report’s individual needs

Lead budget management, planning and expenditure; manage to budget by applying prudent financial and risk management skills

Ensuring timely and accurate workflow, interfacing with other departments, and assist in the development of overall policy and producing departmental reports

Produce acceptable PAS results in a production environment while maintaining a proactive approach to meeting daily objectives

Demonstrate the ability to effectively motivate team members by implementing employee retention initiatives that will assist in meeting turnover objectives as well as manage project work

Leverage analytical and critical thinking skills to participate in several concurrent projects, many of which will be found on the Bank’s strategic project list.

Proactively partner with lines of business and leadership to ensure understanding and accuracy of reporting, projects and presentations

Perform all necessary management functions, including hiring, evaluations, annual increase allocations and disciplinary action as required

Communicate decisions, priorities and relevant information to team members effectively

Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required

Strong knowledge of budgeting and project management fields, including knowledge of best practices

Ability to drive results and balance management of organizational risk and meeting goals of the business

Proven ability to partner across business lines and leadership to proactively ask questions with the intent to learn, grow and ultimately provide efficient and effective processes to positively impact the bottom line

Strong critical thinking and logic-based reasoning skills with the ability to apply discretion and sound judgement to efficiently and effectively solve problems

Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations

Ability to analyze details, translate technical and non-technical terminology and adopt a big picture view

Ability to produce clear and concise documentation

Strong presentation skills to present to multiple levels while being proficient in PowerPoint

Working knowledge of the project management methodologies

Ability to conduct interviews and build relationships across business, functions, and IT stakeholders

Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate team members and foster a positive team environment that gives way to collaboration and unified goals

Intermediate to advance level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Math, Engineering, Marketing, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required

1-3 years of data analytics experience or related field required

3+ years of leadership/management experience required; 5 years preferred
