Employee serves as a resource to the professional child welfare social work staff by providing administrative support to the Caseworker including case documentation, opening and closing cases, tracking placements, completing case audits, tracking services via Google, prepare adoption subsidy paperwork. The employee will also take and transcribe minutes from meetings, provide office phone coverage, archive and scan documents. Input data on computerized systems and maintain case files. Supervise client visits. Research and respond to incoming questions or complaints.

Principal Duties
As a Senior Assistant Caseworker you will:

  • Provide administrative support.
  • Receive incoming telephone calls and direct calls to appropriate office or individual using a central switchboard or multi-line telephone system.
  • Enter data into a computer system and retrieves, corrects, or deletes previously entered data.
  • Prepare and process documents reviewing them for accuracy and completeness.

The Ideal Candidate
The model candidate for this position is someone who:

  • Is knowledgeable working with Google Docs
  • Has worked with the State’s social welfare database system, SAFE

Typical Qualifications

Key knowledge, skills and abilities required of this position * skill in typing and operating office equipment as required
