Job description: About the Position

The primary function of the Project Associate is to provide general project management and business development support to the Implementation and Learning Division (ILD) of Dexis Consulting Group (Dexis). The Project Associate will assist in the management of projects and proposals, and engage in day-to-day project activities, coordination, and administrative support in a flexible, dynamic work environment. The selected candidate is expected to communicate clearly and efficiently and will develop and maintain positive relationships both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Provides contractual, operational, financial, and administrative support to projects under ILD’s portfolio.
  • Coordinates closely with project team(s) and internal support units, including Contracts, Finance, Payroll, Human Resources, IT, and Recruiting teams.
  • Manages electronic files to ensure compliance with Dexis protocols and policies.
  • Edits and formats project reports for internal and external use.
  • Supports recruitment and onboarding of project staff and consultants.
  • Supports consultant management for various project assignments including managing agreements, supporting travel and logistics, and reviewing expense reports, and processing payments.
  • Completes data entry and reviews financial transactions and project operational data for inclusion in reports or presentation materials.
  • Supports Dexis’ business development efforts, including through desk research, writing, editing, coordinating proposal teams, recruiting, and contributing to budget development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, business, finance, or related field required.
  • 1 – 3 years of work experience in international development or relevant field.
  • Demonstrated prioritization, organization, planning, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent writing, editing and research skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely and to write for diverse audiences.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, show attention to detail, and work independently.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure with diverse teams.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional proficiency in a second language.
