Job description: Existing Customer Marketing (ECM) Strategy Lead

As a Barclays ECM Strategy Lead, you will be responsible for developing strategies for existing customer marketing, offers, upgrades, and credit line management for a large specialty retail partnership to meet annual engagement, spend, and balance commitments. This includes managing the customer marketing budget, recalibrating plans to meet targets, and developing test and learn strategies to optimize marketing effectiveness. You will work directly with the retail partner as well as many internal stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

  • Being responsible for developing and implementing existing customer strategies to achieve program spend and balance targets for a large specialty retailer
  • Developing annual existing customer plan in conjunction with the retail partner and key internal stakeholders
  • Identifying competitive trends in marketing and retail landscape developing strategies to maintain competitive capabilities and offers
  • Being responsible for development of the business strategy, growth opportunities, and ongoing optimization to maximize program value
  • You will integrate customer marketing and engagement strategies within key partner store and digital channels
  • Managing cross functional teams and activities across Marketing, Operations, Credit, Fraud, Technology to insure that annual spend and balance commitments are met
  • Ensuring program is managed in control and with appropriate governance

What we’re looking for:

  • Progressive levels of responsibility managing retail financial services and CoBrand partnerships; proven track record in existing customer strategy and marketing
  • Experience should include solid understanding of retail programs specific to CoBrand, private label and other retail payment programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to articulate recommendations in a compelling manner to engage and influence business partners
  • Graduate/undergraduate degree preferred
