Our Reward team
We’re looking for a Job Architecture expert to join us on a 12-month FTC and help build something from the ground up. Someone who doesn’t just understand levelling and structure, but is energised by the idea of exploring innovative solutions and creating something that will help shape the future of Monzo.
Monzo is growing quickly, and we want to build a structure that grows with us. One that’s fair, clear, and designed to support people, not slow them down. We want everyone here to understand how they can progress, how their role fits into the bigger picture, and how we reward impact. That’s where you come in.
This isn’t about fixing what already exists. It’s about creating something new from the ground up. You’ll design the whole thing: how we define roles, how we think about levels, and how that connects with our pay approach and people systems.
You’ll be the person who brings it all to life. Building the framework. Guiding the process. Helping everyone understand not just what we’re doing, but why it matters.
If you’ve done this before at scale, and you’re excited by complexity, clarity and meaningful change, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll play a key role by…
This isn’t a small tweak to an existing system. It’s a company-wide transformation. You’ll be designing the structure that helps Monzo scale with clarity, fairness and purpose.
Here’s what the work looks like:
- You’ll take full ownership of researching and establishing Monzo’s future approach to Job Architecture. You’ll align it with our long-term company vision, growth plans, and evolving technology.
- You’ll research and design the Job Architecture methodology, processes and how it will be applied and managed on an ongoing basis.
- You’ll consider how we benchmark roles, how we define job families and levels, and how we support career progression.
- You’ll lead the project end-to-end. From discovery through design to delivery, you’ll set the pace and make sure it lands well across the business.
- You’ll run key conversations across Monzo. That includes listening deeply to teams, shaping the right solutions, and clearly communicating the final framework and how it works in practice.
- Most importantly, you’ll act as our expert advisor. You’ll offer clear, strategic guidance rooted in best practice but shaped for what’s right for Monzo.
This is the kind of work that touches every team. Done well, it creates clarity, fairness and opportunity for everyone.
We’d love to hear from you if…
- You have extensive experience with researching, designing and implementing Job Architecture frameworks with a global mindset and advise on best fit and practice
- You have developed and implemented internal role levelling frameworks and have detailed knowledge of market benchmarking techniques
- You have experience in project management including vendor management
- You have Fintech / Start up / Scaling experience
- Understand the interaction between a HRIS and Job Architecture framework
