As an IT Hardware Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing computer hardware and peripherals to ensure smooth operations across our organization.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and operating systems
- Respond to IT support tickets in a timely and professional manner
- Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on computer systems and equipment
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement new hardware solutions and improve existing systems
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations
- Provide basic network support and troubleshooting
- Assist in managing hardware inventory and procurement processes
- Stay up-to-date with the latest hardware technologies and industry trends
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in IT hardware support or related field
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components, peripherals, and troubleshooting techniques
- Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
- Experience with IT ticketing systems and hardware diagnostics tools
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Familiarity with IT security best practices
- CompTIA A+ certification preferred
- Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
