Job description: Job ID Number R5512Employment Type Full timeWorksite Flexibility RemoteJob Summary As the Infrastructure and Desktop Support Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing IT infrastructure and desktop environments, ensuring seamless operations and high availability for critical systems.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Infrastructure and Desktop Support Consultant to lead our IT infrastructure management and desktop engineering initiatives. This position will be full-time and remote, with a long-term contract.*Must be able to support MST hours to support the teamDue to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, only US Citizens and Green Card Holders/Permanent residents will be considered for this role. Candidates must be able to work directly on CAI’s W2.What You’ll DoDesign, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systemsEnsure high availability and performance of critical systemsDevelop, configure, and maintain desktop environmentsTroubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring optimal performanceManage and administer Office 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and other collaborative toolsImplement security measures and compliance policiesProvide advanced technical support to internal teamsResolve complex technical issues and offer guidance on best practicesCreate and maintain detailed documentation for systems architecture, configurations, and processesDocument user requests and issues, including diagnostic steps and resolutionsMentor junior engineers and provide training on new technologies and processesAnswer team member questions and oversee work for quality and complianceMonitor work queue and manage Freshservice incidentsRotate On-Call schedule with the teamWhat You’ll NeedRequired:Minimum of 5 years in infrastructure and desktop engineering, with a strong focus on Office 365 administration​Proficiency in managing Windows and/or Linux serversProficient in Windows OS, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)Familiarity with network protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)Experience with local domain and mixed level environmentsA bachelor’s or associate degree in a technical field combined with several years of relevant experiencePreferred:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team-oriented environmentPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standardsSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitorReasonable Accommodation StatementIf you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to or (888) 824 – 8111.Equal Employment Opportunity Policy StatementCAI is committed to equal employment opportunity.
