  • The primary function of this position is to manage and keep current the districts job postings.
  • This position will audit all of the districts job descriptions, to ensure they are current and accurate.
  • Responsible for assisting Recruitment Specialist in planning recruiting functions including online/social media recruiting, newspaper advertisements and job fairs.
  • Manage TalentEd applicant tracking system including working with applicants and hiring supervisors on system functionality and district procedures.
  • Assist applicant’s in-person and via phone on the application process, answer questions regarding job postings and employment opportunities.
  • Review applicant materials and provide hiring supervisors with pools of qualified applicants.
  • Create training and resource materials to ensure consistent and efficient use of the system. Provide individual training on a regular basis.
  • Must ensure effective communication skills and knowledge of database systems.
  • Troubleshooting of Applicant Tracking system.
  • Proactive assessment of Application System looking for enhancements for end-user.
  • Oversee the District’s facilitated transfer process.
  • Collect recruitment and retention data daily and quarterly for Human Resource Leadership review and analysis.
  • Provide HR assistance with applicant screening, selection, and on-board activities as necessary.
  • Screen applications for hiring supervisors.
  • Assist in interviews or create applicant interview packets for hiring supervisors.
  • Provide assistance to departments organizing their onboarding, training, and implementation of new employees.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of Columbia Public School District.

For information on polices, regulations and values, visit .REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSReports To: Director of Human Resources for Classified and OperationsSupervises: NoneQUALIFICATIONSMinimum: High school diploma or equivalent, plus three years progressively responsible administrative experience or bachelor’s degree in relevant field.Preferred: Ideal candidate will have experiences with Applicant Tracking systems or comparable database systems with a good understanding of human resource and recruitment processes.Ideal Candidate: This position will require a high verbal and written communication skillset. Previous work which demonstrates organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines without supervision. Professional and friendly demeanor with a demonstrated ability to work well with a variety of individuals while maintaining confidentiality.SALARY$19.32 – $31.32 based on experienceADA REQUIREMENTSLanguage: Read and interpret documents such as instructions and procedure manuals; Write reports and correspondence; Answer telephone calls and direct callers to appropriate personnel; Demonstrate strong listening skills; Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skillsReasoning: Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form; Solve problems when such problems have a variety of concrete variables.
