Closing Date: Open Until FilledSummary:Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, will assist with all HR activities to include, but not limited to the following: recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, retention, compensation, credentialing, new-hire orientation, training and development with other duties as assigned.Major Responsibilities:Ensures all new hires are credentialed and privileged as required.Recruitment, keeping application management system updated on applicant statuses, and scheduling of interviews.Maintain an effective and professional filing system.Develop and maintain, and process new hire and benefits packets.New Hire Orientation process.Create and maintain all personnel files, including active personnel files, terminated personnel files, confidential files, I-9 files, and student/volunteer/contractor files.Assists employees with questions or issues regarding new hire paperwork and benefits.Responsible for data entry, reporting, code creation and initiating data program changes with the HRIS system.Communicates with finance to ensure database information is accurate.Executes special assignments and tasks assigned by the Human Resources Manager.Research and respond to correspondence from state and federal officials or private companies in order to verify employment history of past and present employee’s.Develop and maintain up to date organizational chart as required.Maintain and update all organizational forms.Customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment required to complete assignments.Conforms to safety policies and general housekeeping practices.Demonstrates sound work ethics, flexible, and shows dedication to the position.Demonstrates a positive attitude, is respectful, and possesses cultural awareness and sensitivity toward clients and co-workers.Keeps customer service and the mission of the organization in mind when interacting with all clients, co-workers, and others.Expected to be prepared to start shift on time, meet attendance standards, and work the hours necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.Employees are expected to embrace, support and promote the core values of respect, integrity, trust, compassion and quality which align with Chugachmiut’s Mission and Vision through their actions and interactions with all patients, staff, and others.Conforms to Chugachmiut policies, strict employee confidentiality, and HIPAA regulations.Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Education Requirements:BA Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.PHR Preferred, if not, 2-4 years’ experience required.Computer Skills to include word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS.Hours of Work:Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour for lunch. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week and 1950 hours per year. Chugachmiut maintains a drug/alcohol free and non-smoking environment.
