Urgently needed for
HR Representative, EMTEK
Company: Therma-Tru Doors
- Assists Associates with various requests and escalates or redirects to the appropriate HR member or department (i.e. Payroll, LOA, Benefits, Safety) as applicable
- Responds to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, payroll, and benefits
- Collaborates with management to address employee concerns and resolve conflicts
- Manages employee records and maintains accurate HR databases
- Supports HR projects as assigned, such as employee engagement initiatives, audits, process improvements, and policy updates
- Supports recruiting and retention efforts
- Handles onboarding for newly hired employees
- Prepares onboarding/offboarding packets
- Coordinates monthly round table meetings and gathers data
- Coordinates leaves of absence and the interactive process
- Stays current on California and Federal regulation and laws
- Responsible for coordinating annual Company recognition events and celebrations
- Communicates open enrollment health insurance information and responds to questions related to benefits
- Handles HRIS-related responsibilities
- Produces accurate and timely HR reports when required
- Submits weekly timecards to temp agency’s payroll for processing
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
- Fluent in both Spanish and English language (oral and written)
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment labor laws, and regulations (including leave administration processes like FLMA – Family Medical Leave Act)
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, HRIS
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with employees at all levels (including handling conflict and employee relations)
Nice-to-Have:
- College degree in Human Resources or related business field
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification
- Human Resources experience in manufacturing or distribution industry
