401(k) Employer Match ProgramPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support full-cycle recruitment processes and onboarding for US employees
- Communicate and support HR policies
- Support employees with benefits including open enrollment
- Respond to employee questions in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies
- Assist with HR initiatives and employee engagement programs
- Complete a variety of HR department projects
- Collaborate with managers on employee performance management issues and make recommendations on corrective steps and action plans
- Champion a safe and inclusive workplace and support/coordinate training or employee events that align with a positive work experience
- Develop and deliver employee documentation
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide a summary with recommendations to management
- Act as a member of the local safety committee
- Understand the collective bargaining agreement in effect and ensure alignment of HR practices
- Ensure HRIS records are updated and accurate
- Other projects or duties as required
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- 5 years of HR generalist experience
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR practices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- HRIS proficiency – UKG preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
- Labor relations experience is an asset
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESEmployees must:
- Work in compliance with the appropriate safety legislation/regulations/safety policies
- Report any known workplace hazard or safety violations
- Cooperate with their workplace’s Safety Committee or health and safety representative
- Use any safety equipment, protective devices or clothing required
- Not remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the Company or by the regulations
