Frank Beverage Group is hiring for a Human Resources Generalist for our Middleton, WI office. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing specialized and administrative duties on a professional level and works closely with different levels of management in supporting all business units and locations of the company. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment/employment, benefits administration, HRIS system administration, employee relations, training, performance management, and onboarding.Responsibilities:
- Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt personnel and temporary employees; conducts onboarding programs, writes and places advertisements, screening resumes and applications, participates on hiring committee, and writes offer letters.
- Manages new hire onboarding program by scheduling, organizing and preparing materials and formally conducting and facilitating group presentations and sessions.
- Managers all employee status changes including separations, transfers, promotions, including system changes and benefit changes.
- Manages enrollments, monitors eligibility, processes changes and terminations on provider websites and within HRIS system for all applicable benefit plans.
- Prepares educational and communication materials for employees and provides annual benefit information. Answers non-routine requests for information regarding benefits.
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Prepares employee communication materials such as organizational announcements, newsletters and events.
- Assists in employee relations counseling, investigates employee complaints, and exit interviewing.
- Administers Family Medical Leave and COBRA requirements.
- Maintains and administers company drug and alcohol testing program; ensure compliance with Department of Transportation requirements for Commercial Drivers
- Assists in managing worker’s compensation claims by completing and gathering initial documentation from supervisors and employees.
- Conducts periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, state and federal laws.
- Assists with special projects and assignments as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
- Strong math, clerical, organization skills and attention to detail is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: friendly, personable, approachable, and ability to easily interact with a diverse group of people.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects with short deadlines; must be able to work independently with general supervision as well as part of cohesive team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning call employee information issues related to employment, payroll, and human resources.
- Experience with working HRIS systems is preferred.
Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management or other related field is required
- 3-4 years experience in Human Resources or a related field is required
- Customer service experience is required
Skills and Abilities:
