Responsibilities
This position is based in Mankato with periodic travel to Fairmont to support operations there.
Works with Operations Supervisor to facilitate smooth daily operations. Performs light duty maintenance work such as: light bulb replacements, painting, hanging pictures, basic plumbing repairs, and general carpentry work; room set-up and emergency clean-ups; general grounds keeping including, but not limited to, mowing, watering, weeding, and snow removal as necessary; regularly cleans, maintains supplies and services public areas and offices as well as conference/meeting rooms; mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning as needed; general cleaning and detailing of various types of fleet vehicles; repositioning of fleet vehicles to and from different Mayo Clinic Ambulance bases of operation as needed. Must be flexible to respond to changing priorities and handle changing workflow. May be required to work at multiple sites.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. A minimum of two years of general maintenance experience.Post-secondary education in building maintenance preferred. Ability to follow written and/or verbal directions. Must be organized, efficient and able to work independently and/or in a team setting. Must have the ability to read, write, and speak EnglishMust have and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Mayo Clinic Policy.
