Responsibilities
Transport patients that are admitted to the hospital to their assigned rooms and to assist with their transportation needs upon dismissal or short-term leave from the hospital. Responsible to complete patient transports in a timely manner, maintain clean equipment, interacts politely and professionally with patients, visitors and medical center staff. Functions independently and frequently with direction via phone or pager. Working flexible hours, which includes days, evenings, day/evenings, holidays, weekends and split shifts with rotating days off.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous hospital or clinical experience is preferred. Must be able to work independently. Requires good communication, telephone, and human relation skills to interact with patients, guests and staff. Strong problem-solving skills are necessary. Must be able to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.
