Opening in theaters and VOD August 10th

Directed by: Sebastian Gutierrez

Starring: Abbey Lee, Ciarán Hind, Dylan Baker, Carla Gugino & Matthew Beard

Nothing is as it seems in this brain-bending plunge into our darkest desires. Elizabeth (Abbey Lee), a beautiful young newlywed, arrives at the palatial estate of her brilliant scientist husband Henry (Ciarán Hinds). Ensconced in modernist luxury with an obedient—if slightly unsettling—house staff (Carla Gugino & Matthew Beard), she has seemingly everything she could want. But one mystery tantalizes her: what is behind the locked door to Henry’s laboratory that he has forbidden her to enter? When an inquisitive Elizabeth dares to find out, everything she thought she knew about her husband—and about herself—will change. Elizabeth Harvest casts a spell of creeping Gothic menace as it unravels a disturbing tale of identity, obsession, and twisted love.

A machine that can bring back dead loved ones seems like a great idea — until you unleash the wrong spirits. Thomas Mann and Nicola Peltz star in this sci-fi skin-crawler.

  1. This story is about the exact research and creepy future tech shit that Jeffrey Epstein was steamrolling. See: Zorro Ranch, and the breeding programs that interest the technocratic eugenists who employed Epstein. It was all covered, but hey – easy to forget when gender pronouns are more interesting to the world than international human trafficking rings, cloning tech, and genetic harvesting. Anyways – apparently periods at the end of sentences are considered "micro aggressions" now. lol.

  2. So I’m about 3 yrs late and haven’t seen the movie, but i will, so I’m just taking a guess here. Going by the title and what they say, I’m guessing Elizabeth was once his actual wife, that is the real Elizabeth. After her death, wether from cancer, car crash or gun shot her husband decided to clone her. Each time a new Elizabeth emerges, something goes wrong and so they have to delete that one, and so the husband repeats the process until he gets the “perfect one”.

  3. I've seen a few movies with the same idea. What I find interesting is how the audience invariably disapproves of the scientist and sees him as a twisted psychopath.
In every story ever written – except one. This is a retelling of the garden of eden, adam and eve. So why does god get a free pass for the same story?

  4. One terribly boring movie with too much belief in its own self importance. It got slated in reviews but I gave it a chance. Wrong choice. It was lame, turgid and lacked direction. It failed in every department. 🤮

  5. The cinematography & overall production design was quite nice and I'm usually a fan of the films that IFC puts out but for some reason I just really found this film dumb. Often couldn't understand the characters' actions and several scenes just kind of made me roll my eyes. Performances were very much alright but still, by an hour in I was already checking the time remaining.
