Job description: Job Description:OverviewThis is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.The Director AML/CFT manages the Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions Compliance associates responsible for oversight of financial crimes-related Issues, developing and/or challenging Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSAs), and for creating the enterprise AML and Sanctions Risk Assessments on a periodic basis. This role directs associates reviewing compliance controls and processes, ensuring compliance with AML, BSA, and OFAC regulations and enterprise standards. The Director provides expert consultation to leaders, develops process improvements, and works with business departments and external subsidiaries to monitor regulatory compliance, driving the success of the AML/CFT program enterprise-wide.
Responsibilities

  • AML/CFT Operations
  • Oversees associates, programs, and initiatives reviewing regulatory compliance within business operations.
  • Leads continuous assessment and improvement of AML, BSA, and OFAC procedures.
  • Influences compliance controls and processes, liaising with external partners.
  • Responsible for AML/CFT reporting to senior management and governance committees.
  • Risk Mitigation
  • Identifies and assesses risks associated with AML, BSA, and OFAC activities.
  • Directs efforts to comply with the Bank’s risk appetite and tolerances.
  • Leads risk assessment and monitoring efforts.
  • AML/CFT Expertise
  • Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting AML, BSA, and OFAC activities.
  • Advises management and associates on these laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Personnel Management
  • Manages team performance, training, and evaluation.
  • Maximizes department achievements through professional development.

QualificationsBachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Audit, Banking or other related experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Audit, Banking or other related experiencePreferred Qualifications: Strong financial crimes compliance background, including CAMS or similar certification. Experience with Issues Management and RCSAs at a large financial institution. Demonstrated success in developing and sustaining enterprise AML/CFT/Sanctions risk assessments at a large financial institution. Strong analytical abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills.This job posting is expected to remain active for 5 days from the initial posting date listed above. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
