Join us and be part of a collaborative team that is relentless in our pursuit of security for life.Position Overview:We are currently seeking a determined Desktop Technician III who embodies our core values: Service, Accountability, Customer Focus, Growth, and Integrity.The Desktop Technician III diagnoses and resolves technical issues, utilizing your hands-on technical skills to do one or more of the following: Install, modify, clean, some minor repair of monitors, laptops, desktops, peripherals, and some basic network printer support- Customer service oriented, team environment by performing the following duties. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Times available: 8:00PM–5PM or 9:00AM-6:00PM CST
- Shift: Monday – Friday schedule with Saturday & Sunday: OFF
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assist with the configuration, testing, deployment, and patching of client desktop computing hardware, software and peripherals
- Able to perform all functions of a Desktop Support Analyst I or II.
- Primary for escalations
- Assists with setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with the company’s plans and vision.
- Interacts effectively with other departments and users, provides solutions to user reported problems and product related issues.
- Provides oral and written documentation to management & users for all problems and or delays.
- Assists in the development of documentation and departmental productivity tools.
- Technical capabilities required, including hardware/software support and troubleshooting
- May assist with interviewing, training, and evaluating employees
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems Management, or related experience
- 3+ years previous experience in a senior desktop support level role of an enterprise technology team required
- 3+ years of experience leading projects leveraging Waterfall, Agile and Kanban methodologies
- Intermediate to Expert-level experience required in the following disciplines/platforms:
- Experienced in leading projects and initiatives, providing executive support, and assisting with workload management. Over two years of experience directing and guiding technically oriented production employees, ensuring efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
- Minimum of 4 (four) years’ hands-on experience with direct customer support in a technical environment
- Prefer a college degree or technical school certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skilled endpoint troubleshooting within a LAN/WAN environment
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Office 365 applications in an enterprise environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Volume Licensing preferred
- Strong expertise in mobile computing technologies, including VPN and laptop deployment, remote management, and remote patching
- Experience in managing endpoints in InTune or other platform, keeping endpoints current and addressing those that won’t update successfully
- Experience in setting up and administering an imaging server and keeping images current
- Strong understanding of use of imaging server to imagine computers
- Ability to configure office productivity software such as MS Office and e-mail clients
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately
- Intermediate to Expert level experience with Exchange and Active Directory
- Experience with enterprise teleconference systems and conference room A/V systems
- High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy
- Experience purchasing equipment and understanding in the Quote, Request, PO, Order and Receipt of said assets into inventory
- Experience in Windows 10/11, IOS, and Office 365 platforms
- Installing, configuring, and repairing macOS.
- Possess advanced troubleshooting skills in all Windows OS environments
