  • Requires a minimum of 5 years work experience in a business environment performing client-facing deskside support activities.
  • Perform highly complex Deskside services to include install, move, add, changes (IMAC), build, configuration, and software support on Buyer or Customer personal computers, plus Customer assistance with problem source identification and problem resolution at the Customers desktop or laptop.
  • Subject matter expert for current Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, and iOS operating systems and software including Client Office Suite, Outlook, Full Disk Encryption, VPN, and other common commercial of the shelf software applications as well as working with our global teams. on company-wide / enterprise problems.
  • Can work as technical focal for site or shift. Assist SMEs from other support groups, such as LAN, Admin, Networking, etc. with root cause analysis and problem resolution.
  • Perform technical and project coordination for large PC rollouts or software updates.
  • Demonstrated leadership and oversight for other technicians to ensure adherence to IBM processes and work instructions. Experienced and flexible team player willing to pick up any kind of assignment and share knowledge across the overall team.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive procedures.
  • Ability to complete complex assignments by leveraging available resources.
  • Independently handle client-facing communication, including VIP and executive level interactions. Take full ownership of any and all issues through completion.
  • Provide level 2 support via remote takeover tools.
  • Excellent command of Customer service techniques and demonstrates positive attitude with every customer interactions well as excellent
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated success at negotiating among an array of parties including those from IBM, vendors of HW, SW, network carriers and the Customer at both the end user and executive levels to resolve complex and/or relatively obscure problems.
  • Must adhere to Business Casual Attire dress, unless otherwise requested.
  • Available for scheduled off-shift work and/or emergency support, when necessary.
