Job description: Duties: perform PC hardware and software installations, configurations, upgrades, troubleshoot, and make repairs; perform one-on-one training; repair and install office technology like telephone, PC peripherals, installing remote support tools and similar activities; confer with end users to determine types of hardware and software required to achieve specific goals; participate in evaluating new hardware and software and related standards; assist in developing and implementing personal computer standards and procedures; attend training as required by management; stay abreast of PC hardware, software, and related technologies and perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, experience working in a PC/Network support position, and experience working in a university environment preferred; working knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware and software; ability to relate to clients in a professional manner; must have a desire to learn; Associate’s degree or accredited technical school certificate of competency in personal computer support are required, or experience providing personal computer support in an enterprise environment may substitute for the associate’s degree or certificate requirements.
