Technical Support:
- Provide end-to-end technical support for desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, performing repairs, upgrades, and installations as necessary.
- Assist with network connectivity problems and support VOIP telephone systems.
- Manage hardware deployment, including building and deploying Windows (Dell) computers.
Customer Service:
- Serve as the first point of contact for technical support and service requests, both on-site and via phone or email.
- Build rapport with customers, ensuring a relatable and responsible interaction.
- Translate technical jargon into terms understandable by non-technical users.
- Document all activities and interactions in the ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow).
Operational Support:
- Manage hardware retrieval from off-boarded staff and ensure proper asset tracking.
- Support public printing services by managing paper, toner, and device maintenance.
- Conduct hardware and application/tool testing in partnership with Desktop Engineering.
- Perform remote OS upgrades and assist with hardware configuration for staff.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 2-5 years of related work experience in PC break-fix, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid understanding of IT services and products.
- Experience with imaging and support; familiarity with tools like Ivanti, Microsoft Intune, or JAMF is a plus.
Education & Certifications:
- Associate’s degree or technical training preferred.
- A+ Certification or the ability to obtain within the first 6 weeks of employment.
