We are looking for YOU to be our Desktop Support Specialist!Onco360 Pharmacy is a unique oncology pharmacy model, created to serve the needs of community, oncology and hematology physicians, patients, payers, and manufacturers. Our Onco360 Corporate Office in Louisville, Kentucky has an immediate need for a Desktop Support Specialist.SummaryPosition is responsible for assisting in the implementation and maintenance of the organization’s desktop infrastructure environments including image creation, installation, upgrades, high-level troubleshooting, patching, and software deployment; maintenance of core technologies including but not limited to All Microsoft Products, AD, and IT troubleshooting.Candidates will be supporting internal users by working through a ticketing system to troubleshoot and resolve both software and hardware issues. Daily responsibilities include Imaging, desktop audits, inventory management, asset tracking, desktop refreshes, software installs, remote accesses, and configurations.Provides Tier 3 support and consultation to IT users for all aspects of end-user computing and desktop based. LAN systems software. Configures, installs, monitors, and maintains systems for inventory, asset and license management, O/S image and driver deployment, software deployment and packaging, client encryption, and automation.Benefits

Major ResponsibilitiesPosition is responsible for supporting Onco360’s vision of using technology to provide an innovative, patient-centric approach to navigate the complexities of cancer care.

  • Develop and document endpoint hardware (both physical and virtual) as well as operating systems configurations and management capabilities.
  • Perform secure baseline image creation and tailoring of Windows operating system images for specific hardware configurations from a common core baseline.
  • Conduct Windows Readiness and Compatibility Assessment of hardware, software, and infrastructure environment.
  • Support application packaging, deployments, documentation, and release control in an Enterprise environment.
  • Write documentation, installation procedures, checklists, troubleshooting tips, and topology diagrams.
  • Develop Windows Base Images, crafting the operating system and GPO settings so that they integrate with all enterprise hardware and software and meet customer requirements.
  • Create and maintain custom task sequences and other custom code for image management.
  • Provide desktop management automation through scripting to deliver consistent and predictable services.
  • Work within the change management process to coordinate the release of new software packages.
  • Open and follow up on critical incidents with the hardware vendors in the event of a problem relating to a supported hardware platform.
  • Conduct QA testing of images before they are pushed to production.
  • Provide 3rd-level support to the Help Desk and field support teams via the resolution of escalated application, operating system, deployment, and hardware issues.
  • Participate in multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop processes to increase efficiency and automate regular maintenance of support actions.
  • Deploy software for service packs or emergency security patches.
  • Hardware replacements rebuild and evaluate/document the condition of returned equipment for possible reuse or disposal.
  • Troubleshooting network issues within the environment using networking fundamentals, concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Design, configuration, deployment, and primary system support and maintenance of voices services on VoIP
  • Document and track to resolution all customer support request/issues within ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Effectively communicates complex information to a variety of technical and non-technical customers and to engineering team. Works with IT Management to develop and document accurate operating procedures.
  • Understand networking (LAN, WAN, VPN), DNS & DHCP, ADFS, and PKI, and protocols (TCP/IP).
  • Collaborate with formal, enterprise-grade Patch Management and Change Control Systems.
  • Undertake systems analysis and functional design.
  • Address complex technical challenges.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Position RequirementsEducation/Learning Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (in Computer Science or related field)
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Work Experience

  • Required: 5+ years of related experience specializing in Windows desktop, Microsoft technologies, and OS imaging, maintenance, and deployment.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Required: Expert with virtual desktop infrastructure, active directory forest/domain design/deployment, and extensive understanding of networking (LAN, WAN, VPN), DNS & DHCP, ADFS, and PKI and protocols (TCP/IP). Strong experience with systems analysis and functional design. Expert with endpoint encryption solutions like DDPE/Bitlocker.
