Job description: Job Title: Desktop Support -IV (ONSITE)Location: Madison, WIDuration: 12 MonthsJob Description:The Client requires Desktop Support staff to maintain a working knowledge of our internal computer system. The technician will be in charge of repairing and maintaining thousands of desktops, laptops and other PC devices. They will also be installing new PC’s and laptops to replace end of life cycle equipment. The technician will be doing those tasks while maintaining inventory and properly disposing of outdated equipment by recycling those items as per the client policies. The technician will also maintain and close work orders in the client ticketing system. The technician receives oversight from the Field Tech Manager to ensure that policy, procedure and methodology are being followed.Additional Details:The candidate will need to have the ability to carry 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours. This may not be required daily but is a requirement. This position is looking for a person with good desktop trouble shooting skills and great customer service. Any AV integration experience is a plus for candidates. However this tech will also be working at the client facilities assisting the regular field tech with project and problem tickets once every few weeks. When traveling to the client facilities the tech will be paid mileage of 51 cents per mile and their hourly wage for travel time, or they have the option to drive a state vehicle (If the candidate has a good driving record). When working at CO they are not paid mileage and for travel time. Tech has the option of working 4 ten hours with Friday offs, working 5 eight-hour days or could also work 9 day 9 hours a two-week schedule with one Friday off per two-week period.Top Skills & 2 Years of Experience:
