Job description: Job Title: Desktop Support & Field Services TechnicianLocation: RemoteWe are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications.Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on desktop support including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
- Respond to service requests, incidents, and technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Support end users with laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
- Deploy and image Windows operating systems using tools such as MDT or SCCM.
- Manage Active Directory accounts, group policies, and user permissions.
- Assist in the maintenance of network connectivity, VPNs, and remote access services.
- Support field operations including site visits for hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and perform routine audits and documentation.
- Adhere to cybersecurity best practices and assist with endpoint protection, encryption, and compliance protocols.
- Collaborate with IT staff and vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues and service improvements.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in desktop support, field service, or help desk roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 7, 10, and 11 operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, and networking concepts.
- Experience with MDM tools (e.g., Intune, AirWatch) and remote desktop solutions.
- Proficiency with scripting tools such as PowerShell is a plus.
- Familiarity with client-side security tools including antivirus, PKI, and encryption solutions.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel to field locations and perform on-site support as needed.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
