Job description: Job Title: Desktop Engineer (US Citizen Only)Location: RemoteWe are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualificationsResponsibilities:
- Provide technical support for desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices to end-users.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS) and application software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including network connectivity problems.
- Manage and deploy desktop images, updates, and patches using tools such as SCCM or equivalent.
- Set up and configure new workstations, including hardware, software, and user accounts.
- Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to support and resolve complex technical issues.
- Document and track support requests, solutions, and system configurations using ticketing systems.
- Assist in the implementation and management of IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide training and support to end-users on IT-related issues and new technologies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Desktop Engineer or similar role in an IT support environment.
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and office productivity software.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Experience in desktop management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
