Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for providing top-notch IT support? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where every day presents new challenges? Our client is looking for a Desktop Engineer to play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly. Contract runs 2-3 years.

What You’ll Do:Be the go-to tech expert – Provide hands-on support, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues.Keep systems running smoothly – Install and maintain computers, mobile devices, printers, and lab equipment across academic and administrative settings.Support enterprise communication systems, including:Alcatel-Lucent VOIP and OmniVista 8770OpenTouch VoicemailRedbox voice recording (VOIP, radio, analog)Microsoft Teams Voice (deployment & management)Manage and deploy devices using KACE and JAMF endpoint management platforms.Tackle service tickets efficiently with TeamDynamix.Provide seamless remote support via LogMeIn Rescue.Maintain and support AV systems (Crestron) and assist with basic audio production.Oversee printing solutions through PaperCut.Keep IT assets organized – Track inventory, service records, and system/network access.Work with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.Lead by example – Help supervise student workers within the service desk function.Deliver VIP IT support to executives when needed.
What We’re Looking For:Experience: Must have 3-5 years in desktop engineering, IT support, or IT operations.Tech Knowledge: Strong understanding of desktop hardware/software, voice communication systems, and AV technologies.Hands-on Expertise: Experience with KACE, JAMF, TeamDynamix, LogMeIn Rescue, and Crestron systems.Customer-Centric Mindset: Excellent communication, documentation, and service skills.Team Player: Ability to work independently while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.Location Requirement: Must live within 15-20 miles of Old Westbury to ensure quick on-site support.Bonus Points: White-glove executive support experience and cocassional vening and weekend hours as required.
