This position develops and implements monitoring and compliance procedures, conducts risk assessments, and provides technical assistance to subrecipients and program participants. By maintaining program integrity, this position mitigates risks, prevents improper payments, and upholds regulatory standards for public fund administration.For a complete listing of the duties and responsibilities for this position, please review the position description by clickingThis position is eligible for hybrid remote work, with a work schedule of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, for the first six (6) months. The incumbent, if new to the division, will be expected to be physically at the central workplace located at 550 Capitol St. NE in Salem, Oregon, on Fridays. The incumbent will be expected to work at least six (6) workdays at the central workplace each calendar year and attend pre-scheduled in-person all-staff meetings. This position is expected to end on or before April 30, 2029, however, it could end or be extended at any time.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORFive years experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action, or deciding compliance or eligibility with program guidelines and regulations. Three of the five years must be above the technical support level.Please note: College-level course work may substitute for experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year, up to a maximum of three years.The most successful candidate will also have the following skills, experience, and background:Proven ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and agency regulations – including Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR), Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS), and organizational policies and procedures.Strong record of using analytical thinking and evaluative judgment to assess programmatic compliance, identify risks, and make sound decisions in complex regulatory environments.Experience working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to resolve compliance issues, provide technical assistance, and adapt to evolving regulatory requirements.Experience and familiarity conducting risk assessments, compliance reviews, or monitoring activities to ensure regulatory adherence.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy and consistency in documentation, reporting, and regulatory filings.Demonstrated expertise in writing clear and concise compliance reports, enforcement actions, briefs, and technical guidance materials.Knowledge about renewable energy systems or energy resilience is preferred but not required.Studies have shown that women, trans, non-binary, Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color are less likely to apply for positions unless they believe they meet all the desired attributes.
