Clinical/Counselling LD Psychologist – Part remote


Locum Counselling/Clinical Psychologist (Learning Disabilities) Cumbria

Location: Cumbria
Role: Locum Counselling/Clinical Psychologist
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Part-time considered)
Pay: £50 – £55 per hour (dependent on experience)
Flexibility: Potential for part remote working

We are looking for a BABCP accredited Counselling or Clinical Psychologist with a strong background in working with Learning Disabilities to join our team in Cumbria. This is a locum position offering flexibility with both full-time and part-time hours considered, as well as opportunities for part remote working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to individuals with Learning Disabilities.
  • Deliver therapeutic support and guidance tailored to the unique needs of clients.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to support care planning and treatment pathways.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with professional standards.
  • Offer consultations and psychological input to staff and families as needed.

Requirements:

  • BABCP accreditation is essential.
  • Qualified Counselling or Clinical Psychologist with significant experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities.
  • Strong assessment, therapeutic, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Must have a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
