A Kmart in Melbourne has been closed after a team member tested positive to coronavirus.
The store in Barkly Square in Brunswick is closed on Saturday for cleaning, 7 News reported.
“Our priority is to ensure the safety of our customers and team members,” a note on the store reads.
Brunswick borders the locked down suburb of Brunswick West.
In a statement Kmart confirmed the incident.
“At Kmart, the health and safety of our team and customers is our highest priority.
“As soon as we were made aware, we immediately closed the store as a safety precaution and commenced a thorough sanitisation of the store.
“We are working closely with the Department of Health and will continue to keep our team and customers informed.”
Victoria recorded 66 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.
