A BRITISH man has been arrested in Tenerife on suspicion of stabbing his dad to death.
The victim, who is also British, is understood to have been knifed between 30 and 40 times.
He was held around 10am this morning in Los Abrigos in the southern municipality of Granadilla de Abona.
A Civil Guard spokesman said: “I can confirm a British man has been arrested on suspicion of killing his father, who is also British.”
Local reports said the alarm was raised after neighbours spotted the detainee having coffee with his girlfriend at the flat where the murder occurred with blood on his hands.
He has been named locally only by his initials – P.C.S.
He is said to suffer mental health issues, although police said they were unable to make any comment this morning.
